Many parents are aware of the various dangers of the internet, but there are plenty of interesting things for your kids to discover on the internet as well.  Disney's highly popular game "Toontown" is one example of how kids can have a blast while using the internet safely.

The online game is unique because it is the very first multiplayer online game to be geared directly for kids.  The game has already won awards for its innovative approach to online gaming, including an impressive 3D world with game play that continues to evolve over an extend period of time.  The purpose of the game is to create new Toons who will save Toontown from the invasion of dull and dreary robots, known as the Cogs.  Kids can stay involved in the game by creating their own character, finding new things to put in their homes, discovering new areas of the town, designing their own karts which can than be used for racing, training pets, and, of course, fighting the Cogs.  

The game has reached such high levels of popularity since so many people can play together at once, as well as the fact that kids are able to express themselves creatively through their character and their character's home.  When your child wants to spend some time online, parents can feel secure in what Toontown has to offer.  Toontown accounts are free, but a paid membership is required in order to access the entire game.  Fees can be paid on a monthly basis, every six months, or annually.
