Have you ever heard of “Emotional Intelligence” before, and if so, what does it mean to you?  According to the following website http://www.differentwayofliving.com/blog/2009/05/14/teaching-children-to-have-emotional-intelligence.html this term simply means being able to manage your emotions as well as having the ability to manage or gauge the emotional state of others around you. 

In layman’s terms, what it’s trying to say is that they are expecting you to be able to keep you emotions in check at all times and to be able to hide your true feelings from others.  In a business sense, I can see this as being helpful but I wouldn’t suggest using this in terms of teaching your children how to manage their emotions.  This will only stunt their emotional growth as far as I’m concerned.
