What’s better than sitting in your comfy chair curled up with a good book?  This summer that’s exactly what my daughter and I have been doing.  If you love reading as much as we do, and love vampires even more, then we have the series for you: the “Twilight Series” by Stephenie Meyer – “Twilight”, “New Moon”, “Eclipse” and “Breaking Dawn”.

The first book in the series is “Twilight” in which you get to meet the star crossed lovers Edward and Bella.  This book is written from Bella’s point of view, and revolves around her getting adjusted to her new life in Forks, Washington with her father Charlie.  It starts out with Bella’s awkward adjustment to her new high school, and meeting Edward Cullen.  Edward is like no one she’s ever met before and she becomes extremely fascinated by him and the entire Cullen Family. 

In this first  novel you’ll get to meet all of the fascinating characters that make up Edwards family – Carlisle, Esme, Rosalie, Emmet, Alice, and Jasper – as well as Bella’s family – Charlie, Renee, and Phil (stepfather).  You’ll also be introduced to Jacob and Billie (Quileute Indians), who are long time friends of her father, as well as Bella’s small click of friends from school.  But this is so much more than your typical romance novel.  In it you’ll also find some suspense and adventure, when another coven of vampires crosses paths with the Cullens and Bella during one of their baseball games.   James becomes obsessed with Bella, the human, that’s in their midst.  To find out what happens next between James, Bella, and the Cullen’s you should pick up your own copy of “Twilight” to see how the story ends.  It really is a wonderful read.
