Wizards of Waverly Place just aired an hour long episode entitled “Wizards versus Werewolves”.  They did such a wonderful job in finding a new likable love interest for Alex; only to take him away in the end.  It was a lot of fun to watch the romance between Mason and Alex unfold while at the same time watching Justin on the trail of his true love – Juliet, the vampire. 

Unfortunately, Justin gets disheartened when he can’t locate the Mummy that stole his beloved Juliet from him when Alex comes to his aid.  She gives a very caring speech to her brother about how he should never give up on his true love after just revealing that her new beau is a werewolf.  At this point, Mason offers his help in tracking down Juliet with his keen werewolf senses.

With Mason’s help, Justin tracks down Juliet and the Mummy to a castle in Transylvania.  Upon finally getting Juliet released from the Mummy’s spell they discover that Juliet and Mason were once boyfriend and girlfriend.  They figure this out after Mason declares his love for Juliet right in front of Alex.  This little twist sends Alex into a tail spin, and back home she goes.  Only to be followed by Juliet and Justin after Juliet sweetly lets Mason down and declares that Justin is her one true love.

At this point, you’d think there’d be a happily ever after for at least one of the Russo’s.  But this is not to be the case.  Unfortunately, in the end they both end up losing their loved ones.
