My daughter and I just love to go online and play video games together. Our two favorite games we like to play together are Disney’s ToonTown and FLYFF. These are two wonderful virtual role playing games that are very interactive and allow you to play online with each other. Each of you can establish your own characters, and then you’re given tasks to accomplish. You can either accomplish these tasks separately or you can decide to work together to accomplish your goals. Both of these games are extremely addictive in their own way. ToonTown is more kid friendly in that all the characters and buildings are cartoonish, even the bad guys, which are called cogs. Once you’ve created your character you have the option of using one of the names from their listings or you can come up with your own name. But be careful in choosing your own name because the Toon Council has to approve those. My daughter and I each have one character with a hand picked name…Princess Dragon Rider and Countess Dragon Rider. Remember this is kid territory, but it can be extremely fun for adults too!! Especially those of us who still like to watch our cartoons in the morning. There is such a wide variety of things you can do in this game. You can either go to Toon Headquarters to get a task, which usually involves fighting the cogs in one manner or other, or you can keep your characters at the playground where you can do a variety of other fun things...which we’ll discuss in more detail in my next blog, along with more on FLYFF.
